Bachelors Degree in Education, Social Work, Nutrition, Communication or a related field required. Minimum one year experience working with the child care food program or similar work environment, two years preferred. Ability to understand and effectively communicate, motivate and influence staff. Ability to understand and effectively communicate concerning state, and federal child care food program policy. Strong communication, analytical and computation skills required. This is a position of special trust which requires the employee to successfully meet Level 2 background screening requirements. Able to work flexible hours including nights and weekends. Must have a valid Florida driver's license or State of Florida ID card. Able to perform in an empowered environment by working collaboratively with other professionals, personnel and direct service providers. Must be familiar and comfortable working with diverse populations.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Serves as a liaison with Director, Manager, Senior Nutritional Services Counselor and new and current department staff.
Serves as an internal audit reviewer for program quality assurance.
Acts independently to make decisions based on funder guidelines and agency policy.
Provides resources and support to child care providers according to best practice and funder guidelines.
Acts as a resource in handling difficult cases.
Assists with trainings, workshops and projects according to best practice and funder guidelines.
Assists with monthly claim and on site reviews.
